A gift of a poem

We received this poem, hand typed by a poet at the Farmer's Market during our trip to HONK TX, was a gift from our fabulous host.
down by the riverside
spit flow through polished brass
diggin' through the muddy bank
I found justice
didn't need no sound
couldn't nobody be found down here
before the sweet trill of notes
there was me
I imagined the way to peace
sunshine
I need to hitch a ride
wanna go home
missin' the music of my people
'cause your love is ample compensation
fillin' bellies like hungry minds
fully intendin' world reconciliation
by the mouth of the river
a road it grew
waves of melodies
carryin' me to you for Rumble Arkestra
love April
